Opening night is here for the eagerly anticipated revival of West Side Story from Tony-winning innovative director Ivo van Hove. On the morning of the big night, cast members from the production paid a visit to NBC's Today to talk about starring in the celebrated new take on the classic musical. "It's a dream come true, it's a life-changing experience, and I'm just so happy for the opportunity," said Shereen Pimentel, who is starring as Maria. Isaac Powell, who returns to Broadway as leading man Tony, is particularly excited about being a part of the visionary production. "We're doing a West Side Story for the 21st century. The words are still the same, the songs are still the same, the heart of it is still the same. We're just sort of presenting it in a new way." Dharon E. Jones, who took over the role of Riff during previews, will make history with his performance in the revival. "Playing Riff has been a dream. [I'm the] first African-American Riff on Broadway; it's a dream come true. It's a life-changing experience."
